One thing that some applications are very good at is assisting with productivity. Doit.IM is another reincarnation of this type of application. This particular tool offers a very appealing design and many functions to help users get things done on time. Using Doit.IM, users can juggle multiple tasks and collect ideas through a Doit.IM inbox. These ideas can be processed and organized. They can later be reviewed or scheduled as a to do item on a to do list. The concept behind Doit.IM was conceived on September 20th, 2009. In the beginning, things were very challenging. The team experienced grief after an accident in October (with no specification as to exactly what happened). This caused the original company (presumably SnowOrange) to end. Doit.IM version 1.1 was released on the last day of that month. The team was determined to continue along and push towards the future that had originally hoped for with Doit.IM. The following spring, Doit.IM was reborn, the team reorganized, and things are looking far more positive for all involved.

Doit.IM stands out in appearance and flexibility. The application offers many of the same organizational and productivity features of other applications. However it looks very elegant and stylish, which can enhance the user’s overall experience with the application. It is also versatile and can be used on Windows operating systems as well as iPads, iPhones and Android mobile devices.

Doit.IM invites users with a very attractive tablet or day book design. The user can access their inbox or specific days using the left hand menu and review various to do lists along the right hand tablet. Navigational tabs across the top of the application allow users to sort content by project, context, time or look through calendars, archives and contact information.

Newcomers to the Doit.IM website can click on the blue “Try it Now” button found along the right hand side of the homepage (within the colorful screen shot). Another “Sign Up Free” link can be found just below as well. The attractive Doit.IM registration form requires a username, email address and password. The user can choose from three language options then check the terms of service and privacy policy agreement box to continue. The user is advised that a confirmation email will be sent to their inbox and must be accessed to complete registration.

The cost of Doit.IM is another attractive feature. New users can create an account for free. There are no subscription fees or set up costs for doing so. Anyone can access all Doit.IM features without paying for the luxury of doing so. This is a great benefit considering how many paid organizational applications are out there. Giving users a free tool that they can use as often as they like can help Doit.IM gain a leg up over the competition.
